TPCODL strengthens rural connect; expands network of Bidyut Seva Kendras

In its bid to serve the rural customers in a better way, Tata Power Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) inaugurated nine new Bidyut Seva Kendras (BSKs) across Athagarh Division, on the occasion of Maha Vishuba Sankranti, also celebrated as Odia New Year on friday.

Earlier this week, around 25 BSKs were inaugurated in various electrical circles under TPCODL. Including the new centres, the total number of Bidyut Seva Kendras in operation at present has reached to 511.

These centres mainly cater to no power supply complaints of consumers in their respective areas and facilitate as a point of contact for rural consumers. All Bidyut Seva Kendras have dedicated technical teams to deal with all sorts of outage and power supply emergencies. Rural customers can connect to the Kendras to get assistance on electricity supply related services 24X7. On selected days during a week, designated company officials stay present at the Bidyut Seva Kendras to directly connect with rural customers and address their grievances. Consumers can also register their commercial and other complaints.

“Bidyut Seva Kendras are a great platform for our rural consumers to get their power supply related issues resolved quickly. Simultaneously, it provides us a touch point to strengthen our rural connect. We intend to further expand our Bidyut Seva Kendra network aggressively, so that we can cover more and more rural areas to serve reliable power supply and quality service,” said M. Shenbagam, Chief Executive Officer, TPCODL.
