Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, commemorated the grand inauguration and consecration ceremony of the newly constructed Shree Jagannath Mandir at its township, Vedanta Meadows, in Jharsuguda on Thursday.
Spanning an impressive expanse of 19,500 square feet, with the majestic Meghanada Prachira covering 9,500 square feet, the Shree Jagannath Mandir stands as a remarkable testament to architectural brilliance. Notable sectional structures include the Natamandap, Jagamohan, Rekha Mandir, Maa Laxmi Mandir, and Maa Bimala Mandir. Additionally, the temple complex features dedicated shrines for Lord Lokanath, Lord Hanuman, Lord Ganesh, and the stambhas (pillars) of Aruna and Garuda.
The distinguished presence of Odisha’s Industries Minister Pratap Keshari Deb, Brajrajnagar MLA Alka Mohanty and Jharsuguda MLA Dipali Das added grace and honor to the auspicious ceremony.
Addressing the attendees, Vedanta Aluminium COO Sunil Gupta said, “Over a year ago, the Bhumi pooja for the construction of the temple was performed; and today, we are witnessing a resplendent house of worship that has been designed meticulously, aligning to the sacred traditions of the revered Jagannath Temple in Puri. The new temple will serve as a place of worship and harmony for the entire community.”
